Miranda was born in Sydney, but spent her childhood in a small town. Before pursuing modeling she planned to study nutrition. She began modeling after winning annual Dolly Magazine/Impulse Model Competition in 1997. After she moved to New York she appeared in several advertising campaign for different brands. After her success with Maybelline, Miranda became first Australian model who signed a contract with Victoria's Secret. She replaced Gisele Bündchen. Miranda's popularity continued to increase when she appeared in the Victoria's Secret televised runway shows. In 2007 Miranda Kerr began dating Orlando Bloom.
