In 2002 Cheryl auditioned for reality television shows 'Popstars: The Rivals' and in 30 November 2002 she joined new girl group Girls Aloud. As part of Girls Aloud and as a featuring artist, Cheryl has managed to place nineteen songs in the UK Top 10. Girls Aloud announced they would partake in a year-long hiatus to pursue solo projects, but would reunite for a new studio album in 2010. Cheryl Cole was a judge for the fifth and sixth series of The X Factor. She appeared on the cover of several magazines and became the new face of L'Or?©al. In 2004 Cheryl began dating England and Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole. On 15 July 2006 the couple were married at a ceremony at Barnet. In May 2010 Cheryl filed for divorce after The Sun newspaper reported that Ashley Cole had been sleeping with several other women during their relationship. |
