Alecia Beth Moore, better known by her stage name Pink, was born and grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Father played guitar and sang songs for Alecia, and from an early age Pink aspired to be a rock star. she developed her voice early in life, because she has asthma. In high school she joined her first band 'Middleground'. Later she was discovered by a record executive and joined a female R&B group. After recording an unreleased album group was disbanded and Alecia started her solo career under the stage name Pink. In 2000 she released her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home'. In next her album 'Missundaztood' Pink took her sound in a new direction. 'Missundaztood' was certified gold or platinum status and earned several nominations at Grammy Awards. In 2003-2008 she released 3 more albums. On September 18, 2008, "So What" became the first solo number one of her career on the Billboard Hot 100. Pink is a vegetarian, she takes part in PETA's anti-fur campaign and she is involved with many charities.
